Do you know that hesitation can be costly – that obedience has an expiration date?

We’ve all had moments when God spoke, but we hesitated.
We felt the nudge, sensed the pull — yet reason or fear whispered, “Not now.”

The Lesson of Peter – Obedience Open the Net

Peter knew that feeling well.
After a long night of failure, the last thing he wanted to do was try again. The nets were empty, his hands were raw, and disappointment still lingered on his face.

Then Jesus said, “Put out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.”
I can almost see Peter’s expression — the raised brow, the weary sigh, the tired voice that carried a trace of both frustration and hesitation.

“Because You say so, I will.”

Stepping Out in Faith and Trusting God

I had my own “Peter moment.”

For a long time, I resisted the idea of hosting classes over Zoom.

I’ve always preferred being with real people — seeing their eyes, feeling the atmosphere shift when God’s presence fills the room. Zoom felt too mechanical, too far from the kind of ministry I loved.

But one day, the Lord began to stir my heart: “Gather them again.”

It wasn’t loud, but it was persistent. These were people I had introduced to Jesus — now scattered across nations.

So I obeyed. Still unsure, still hesitant — but I obeyed.

Those meetings became sacred ground. Week after week, God met us through the screen.

Hearts softened. Tears flowed. Freedom came.

It was as though Jesus Himself sat in each home.

One night, we talked about forgiveness. The air grew still. One sister was unusually quiet. I felt the Holy Spirit whisper, “Ask her.”

When I did, she broke down in tears. She confessed that she had been so bitter toward her husband that she had bought poison, planning to put it in his favorite drink.

But that night, God broke through her bitterness. She forgave him — and the plan that could have destroyed a life became the night God restored it.

I was undone. If I had let hesitation win — if I had ignored that gentle push — that miracle might never have happened. She might be in prison today.

That’s when I realized what Peter learned that day on the water.

The miracle isn’t in the water or the platform — it’s in obedience.

When you move at His word, even digital space becomes holy ground.

Don’t wait until you feel ready. The water will part when you step.
