How to increase my hunger for the Lord is a question I have been asking myself for quite some time. As I read, study, pray, and listen to teaching… I hear this thought; we are hungry for God because first he is hungry for us. I sit and I ponder this and the Lord begins to download these thoughts.
When we realize that our hunger for Him is just a response to His hunger for us…. then only really can we respond rightly. His choice for us activates our desire to please him more.
I have prayed so many years, God help me hunger more for you, but the reality is… my appetite is truly centered on how much I set my heart on him.
I respond rightly when I know my Papa God and my Identity in Him. That He chose me. That He calls me His and everyday He chooses me and He would do it over and over again. If I focus on Him, I am so hungry, but always full, and that is truly the fullness of walking with the Lord.
John 6:35
